Our Story

It began as a normal Saturday for Lina. She drove from Guelph to work, The Keg in Waterloo. She put on her masculine white dress shirt, as well as her tie and apron. It was just an ordinary night. As usual, it was busy.  The restaurant was full of people. Her first round of tables were rough, so she thought, “on to the second round.”  She didn’t know it, but this table of seven rowdy people were going to be in her life forever. Lina greeted them with a smile and did her introduction to the menu. Of course, as we know it, there was a seventh wheel: Sean. Sean was having a great time, throwing back Keg size Caesar drinks, and being a gentlemen with his manners. He called her sweetheart from the beginning. They all ate dinner and celebrated his sister, Megan’s engagement. A few laughs and drinks later. The table settled up their bills, Sean, being by himself, decided to leave only his number not his name. This left Lina nervous, curious and excited. After some thought she took the risk and texted Sean “you can’t leave your number and no name. ” He replied a couple of days later, typically forgetting. “Who is this?”, he responded.  Lina replied with her sassy self, “you left me your number.” Thankfully Sean clued in, perhaps was shocked that leaving his number worked. After many, many long phone chats they met and the rest is forever.
